The ALL NEW Fear Factory
So the all new, all singing, all dancing Fear Factory are releasing an album called Mechanize.
I’m sad about the weird legal situation with Raymond Herrera and Christian Olde Wolbers – and I’m digging their Arkaea album, Linkin Park-esque vocals or not – but I can’t help but be excited about this release.
However, as my mate Al pointed out, the photo of the new lineup above is pretty goddamn hilarious. Thanks to the MetalSucks crew, I can’t look at Dino Cazares without thinking “Baby Eater” and I actually think he’s put on extra weight to ensure he’s still the fattest member of the band, Byron Stroud being no lightweight. Burton, in Al’s words:

Gene, on the other hand… he’s cool as a cucumber. He’s kinda leaning back going “I’m not with these dudes”.

Burton reminds me of someone who’d rhyme with Schmars Lulrich in that picture, which can never be a good thing.
I shall reserve ultimate spite until after I heard the track though.
